Prof. Dr. Md. Quddusur Rahman

As healthcare professionals and citizens of Bangladesh, we stand at a critical juncture where the quality of our diagnostic services directly impacts the lives of millions. Clinical pathology is not merely a support service—it is the foundation upon which accurate medical decisions rest.

Today, I address our nation with both concern and hope. While we have made significant strides in expanding laboratory services across the country, we must acknowledge that accessibility without quality is a disservice to our people. A misdiagnosed condition due to substandard laboratory practices can be more dangerous than no diagnosis at all.

The Society of Clinical Pathology of Bangladesh is committed to establishing and maintaining the highest standards in our field. We call upon all laboratory professionals to embrace continuous quality improvement, pursue ongoing education, and maintain ethical practices that honor the trust our patients place in us.

Our standards are not bureaucratic obstacles—they are the shield that protects our patients from medical errors and ensures that every test result reflects scientific accuracy and professional integrity.

To the public, I say this: demand quality in your healthcare. Ask questions about laboratory accreditation. Seek facilities that maintain proper standards. Your health deserves nothing less than excellence.

Together, we will build a healthcare system where clinical pathology serves as a beacon of reliability and precision for all Bangladeshis.
